Keeping the UK’s Shop Shelves Stocked During the Coronavirus Pandemic

The last month or so has been by far the busiest and challenging of our 56 years of trade. Whereas many wholesalers were unable to stay operational, Wanis was fortunate to be able to continue serving its customers having implemented our own safety measures ahead of government guidance being issued.

How we responded to COVID 19

We are truly thankful to our staff at this time, many of who took on extra shifts and worked longer hours to help us keep the nation’s shops stocked up.

This short video will give you an idea of just how crazy things got – and what it took to keep the food supply chain operational.

If you have a grocery store or food business of any kind and are not yet a Wanis member, get in touch to set up an account.

Talking Coronavirus with the Mayor of Waltham Forest

As the saying goes, hard times will always reveal your true friends, and in Mayor Chris Robbins, Wanis is delighted to have found just that.

A councillor for nearly two decades, Chris is the serving Mayor of our local borough Waltham Forest, and continues to do vital work connecting communities across the borough. We thank him for his dedication and look forward to working closely with him over the coming months and years.
