We were delighted to sponsor the Senior Citizens Christmas Lunch at the Mardyke Centre which is located close to our distribution centre in Rainham for the third year. Wanis staff volunteered alongside residents and councillors to prepare and serve a complimentary three-course meal to guests, some celebrating their 95th Christmas.

Further festive cheer came courtesy of children from Newton’s Primary School choir who sang Christmas carols to guests including Mayor of Havering, Trevor McKeever.

Our Head of Community, Paul Harrison said: “Its always a pleasure to work with the Mardyke Centre to help put a smile on the resident’s faces at Christmas and working together with other local businesses such as Hawkins & Sons Butchers and the amazing centre staff to make it happen.”
